Furniture for Marquees

When you make the decision to hire a marquee, that’s just the first big decision that’s going to present itself.

You’re going to need to decide on the theme or look and feel that you want to create. This will obviously be dependent on the type of function your hosting – is it a wedding, birthday or coprorate event? Are your guests young / old or just young at heart?

Certain themes crop up again and again – but you can always use your imagination and come up with a new idea. The pages of Hello or OK magazine are full week after week with shots of the star’s events which are always a good source of inspiration.

Weddings traditionally used gilt chairs with a seat pad to match the marquee linings, whereas now, people are being more adventureous  with a variety of seat covers and even transparent polycarbonate chairs now an option.

Some marquee companies stock their own furniture but many use the services of a third party specialist marquee furniture hire company. These firms tend to have a greater range of chairs, tables and accessories and tend to be more up to date when it comes to the latest fashions.

A quick search of Google (other search engines are available – apparantly!) for banquet chair hire will give you a list of local choices if you want to make a direct approach. Don’t forget – if your marquee hire company is sub hiring chairs they’re going to want their commission.
